Ms. J. came in for a boudoir session several weeks ago and, like most of my clients, she was a bit nervous about her session. You see, Ms. J. is one of my more “experienced” clients. I don’t mean that she’s modeled before, I mean that she has experienced life! She is in her 50s and wanted to do something special for herself so that she could feel special an alive again. Read on to hear what she has to say about her boudoir experience and working with Stacey Marie.

Have you ever done a Boudoir Shoot before?

I have never done anything like this before.

Why did you choose to do a Boudoir Shoot?

After several years of turbulence, caretaking, divorce and heartbreak in my life, at 59 years old, I wanted to do something for me – to feel “special” and “alive.”

What was your favorite part of the session?

It was a bit overwhelming to have all the focus on “me” between hair, makeup and the camera, but as the shoot continued, it was so much fun. I guess the fact that a few hours where I was the “center stage” was a really great feeling.

What did doing this shoot do for your self confidence, self worth, and self image?

Oh my! Just to have the ability of standing proud in these outfits and pose was an incredible self-confidence boost. And the result are the photos that are absolutely beautiful.

Was your experience what you were expecting?

Stacey was so professional and great to work with. She made me feel very comfortable doing something that was all new to me.

What was the best part of your experience? Would you change anything?

The whole experience was incredible – from hair and makeup – to changing into outfits and posing. But the best part was looking at all the incredible proofs! Wow!
